Dr Diana Rubel is a consultant dermatologist in private practice at Woden Dermatology, Canberra, a visiting medical officer at The Canberra Hospital, and Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University (ANU).

She completed her undergraduate medical degree (1988) and postgraduate Diploma in Paediatrics (1992) at the University of NSW, her Masters of Medicine (specialising in cutaneous immunology) at Sydney University (1995) and completed her Postgraduate Specialist training in Dermatology (Australasian College of Dermatologists’ fellowship) in 1998.

She has over 15 years’ experience at the Skin and Cancer Foundation, Darlinghurst, Sydney, and has been a Staff Specialist at the Sydney Childrens Hospital for 10 years.

Her goal is to excel in patient care and service to her patients, her referring doctors and her staff. She is passionate about consistently delivering high quality care to all patients, and has developed special interests in skin cancer management, paediatric dermatology, acne, psoriasis, cosmetic dermatology and clinical trials.

Dr Shelley Ji Eun Hwang is a Specialist Dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists based in Canberra ACT. Dr Hwang graduated from the University of New South Wales with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with academic honours, and completed Master of Medicine on Clinical Epidemiology with scholarship at the university of Sydney. Dr Hwang completed her internship and residency training years at the St George Hospital, Sydney. 

Following this, Dr Hwang completed research fellowship in Dermatology at Westmead Hospital, where she has been responsible for assessing and managing skin toxicities that appear on oncology patients treated with systemic therapies and dermatology patients on clinical trials. 

Dr Hwang is currently enrolled at the University of Sydney to complete a PhD in the skin toxicities of immunotherapies used in the treatment of melanoma. Dr Hwang has published widely on this topic and is currently involved in multiple research projects.

Dr Hwang undertook her specialist training in both adult and paediatric dermatology in multiple tertiary hospitals in Sydney/ACT. The hospitals where she has been trained include; The St Vincent’s Hospital, The Skin Hospital at Darlinghurst, The Prince of Wales Hospital, The Sydney Children’s Hospital, The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and The Canberra Hospital. Dr Hwang’s clinical interests and expertise include skin cancer diagnosis and management, general medical and surgical dermatology, eczema, psoriasis, acne/rosacea, hyperhidrosis, paediatric dermatology, and hair loss.

Leanne Monte is a registered Nurse who is passionate about enhancing natural beauty and has been specialising in anti-wrinkle injections, fillers and skin boosters for over 10 years in Canberra. She has helped thousands of men and women feel confident and happy. 

Sometimes even Mother Nature needs a helping hand. Whether this be to look fresher and less tired or to emphasise your best features. Leanne believes cosmetic injecting is an art, so she undergoes regular training to ensure you are receiving the highest quality products using the latest treatment techniques, with little or no down time. 

She will work with you to achieve the maximum improvement with minimal investment to help you look and feel your best. Leanne’s greatest satisfaction comes from seeing a client who loves what they see in the mirror.

Noni

Noni joined Woden Dermatology in 2016 and has a strong background in administrative management, specialising in the medical industry. She is incredibly driven by a challenge and thrives in a fast-paced environment. She has extensive experience working as a Practice Manager and completed a Diploma of Professional Practice Leadership through the University of New England in 2018. Being an active member of the Australian Association of Practice Manager’s, means Noni is able to pass on any knowledge to her colleagues. 

When not at work, Noni loves to catch up with family and friends and loves nothing more than going for nice long walks and watching her three children play sport.

Teagan

Reception

Teagan joined our team in late 2019. Since that time, Teagan has become one of the friendly faces you see at Reception. Teagan’s role has grown dramatically since she joined us and she has now begun working on our social media platforms and website domain. Together with her fellow admin colleagues, they are able to handle bookings, phone calls and other administrative tasks in a calm manner when all three doctors are working. Teagan loves seeing friendly patient faces around the office.

Teagan is currently looking to further her studies in administration and business. When she’s not at work she enjoys being social with her friends and family, being active and spending time with many of the animals she owns.

Keair

Reception

Keair  joined our team in early 2021. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge working in a variety of roles including Medical. Keair’s most recent job before joining our team was working as an Flight Attendant for Qantas in London. However, due to COVID she came back to Australia. 

Keair is one of the friendly faces you will see at the front or hear on the phone. She is always ready to have a chat with our patients and has many a story to tell. 

 Keair loves nothing more than being able to travel and loves to especially visit her family and friends on the south coast.

Amanda started at Woden Dermatology in 2016 after moving from Port Macquarie and previously Wagga. She has had 8 years’ experience in Dermatology Nursing and Laser and is a trained Melanographer Nurse and worked with Molemap by Dermatologists. She has been nursing for approximately 20 years with experience in Theatres, Medical/Surgical and General Practice. 

Amanda has a special interest in skin cancers and acne and is passionate about ensuring you have the best skin you can. Amanda is also one of our Laser nurses. 

When not at work Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 kids and loves participating and watching sport and long-distance running.

Jenelle has been working in Clinical Trials at WD since 2016 and has worked in over 30 trials in dermatology and 1 haematology-oncology trial. She is a Registered Nurse with 30 plus years experience in a variety of clinical and administrative settings, including:

  • Cardio thoracic
  • Intensive care
  • Nurse Educator
  • Nurse Unit Manager
  • Primary Health Care
  • Former Director and business owner of a nursing service providing staff to government agencies.

Jenelle enjoys running with friends and spending time with her grown family.

Maddie

Clicial trials study coordinator and administration

Maddie has been working at Woden Dermatology since 2018. She started on reception, and then moved on to working as the administrative assistant to the Clinical Trials team in early 2019. She has since assisted in setting up and coordinating over 25 clinical trials.

Maddie’s interests outside of work include spending time with family, friends, and her dog Rosco, running, and doing weekend work as a makeup artist.
