APL is a laser treatment which is a combination of photo dynamic therapy and vascular laser. Aminolevulinic acid (ALA) is applied to the skin and is allowed to incubate for 3 hours, after this incubation period laser (limelight) is applied to the area which actives the ALA which allowing damaged cells to selectively absorb the ALA and be vulnerable to the treatment.
